DR JANDERA’S DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

Welcome!

The end of the year is always a busy time at my practiceand this is why I thought this month I would talk about all the options I can offer you when it comes to skin rejuvenation and looking fabulous during the festive season!

Any plastic surgeon will tell you that the demand for procedures such as breast enhancement, facial surgery and liposuction is on average 50% higher in December than any other month.

At my practice I also notice a 30% higher demand for non-surgical treatments such as lip enhancement and Botox.

My non-surgical options

Some patients come to see me for non-invasive rejuvenating treatment in order to look great during the end of year festivities when it’s time to see friends and family that they rarely see. It makes you feel good about yourself and gives you a sense of renewal before starting the New Year.

Have you thought of undergoing a rejuvenation procedure right before the festive season?

Chemical peels willhelp remove the sun damaged outer layer of skin to reveal the healthy skin beneath the dull complexion as well as tighten up the skin to help remove fine lines.

My therapist will still be able to help you this year should you be looking to undergo any skin rejuvenation treatments before the holidays.

OPL and lasers. For mature skin the sun is particularly unkind often leaving behind “sun spots” or age spots and increased lines and wrinkles. Many women get their faces ready for the coming holiday season by scheduling their OPLwith my therapist and we want your achieve a glowing complexion by the time all of the celebrations begin.

A micro-laser peel is a slightly more aggressive way to remove aging sun damaged skin followed by a smoother more even complexion.

Anti-aging treatments. The sun causes the dermis to shrink leaving the skin to appear saggy and wrinkled. Facial treatments such as Restylane will help fill in those wrinkles for a fresher, more-youthful look taking years off your appearance.

Your lines that are pronounced due to squinting in the sun as well as frowning can be improved with injections of Botox Cosmetic to relax the muscles and give the lines and furrows a chance to smooth out.

Botox:Frown lines between the eyebrows, surprise lines across the forehead, and smile lines outside the eyes (crow’s feet) can be quickly and easily softened by an FDA approved substance called Botox.

At my practice I do notice a 30% higher demand for non-surgical treatments such as lip enhancement and Botox at the end of the year.

My summer holiday tips

Something we often forget during the summer is moisturizing. Even though your skin doesn’t feel dry or tight, the sun is actually drying it out and damaging it and using a good quality moisturizer will restore the lost moisture from over-exposure to the sun.

Exfoliating is another very important step in one’s skincare routine as it helps lift off the dead, dull, sun damaged skin cells, therefore revealing the healthier, radiant skin below.

Did you know the therapist at my practice will perform a Silk Peel to achieve your exfoliating needs?

Supplements and nutrition
play a massive role in our skin quality. So make sure that you include vitamin and mineral supplements to your diet so that your cells are regenerating at a rapid rate.

Also, remember to drink loads of water, especially during the hot summer months to keep your skin looking young, supple andhydrated.

Most importantly, relax and enjoy this wonderful time of the year with your loved ones and cherish the special memories you make…

Have you thought of cosmetic surgery for a little confidence boost at the end of a crazy year!?
